Since the beginning of the pandemic, a large number of artsy coffee shops have opened up in areas outside of Metro Manila. Even one year after the start of the pandemic, bustling cities and regions continue to see the inauguration of brand-new cafes and eateries. Your ever-expanding list of cafes can now include the contemporary and unpretentious coffee business Saturday Coffee.

A Cozy Oasis

As you step into Saturday Cafe, you’re immediately greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The tranquil atmosphere is broken up by the flashes of color from the neon “Saturday Coffee” sign. It goes without saying that the food and drinks, in addition to the site itself, are Instagrammable.

The first thing that stood out to me about Saturday Coffee was how roomy it is; the interior is mostly white, which creates the sense that there is even more room than there is.

They have this glass wall, which is one of my favorite features of the space, but if there is still daylight outside, it can get rather warm because the sunshine is reflected off of the glass wall.

The cafe’s rustic decor, adorned with vintage-inspired furnishings and lush greenery, creates an intimate and cozy setting. Soft lighting and comfortable seating arrangements make it the perfect spot to unwind, read a book, or simply enjoy a leisurely afternoon. The laid-back ambiance invites you to slow down and savor the moment, providing a peaceful escape from the fast-paced world outside.

Your desire for coffee can be satiated by drinking one of their caffeinated beverages!

The café has a standard coffee menu, with prices beginning at P80 for hot and cold coffee, P105 for milk tea, and P90 for caffeinated and decaffeinated blended coffee drinks.

The environment is also relaxing to be in. Because it is set back from the main road, this location is ideal for unwinding, getting some work done, or studying. This coffee establishment comes highly recommended, although I cannot confirm whether or not it has wifi.

On the other hand, you can pair your cup of coffee with the café’s rendition of the well-known egg waffles from Hong Kong or the well-known souffle pancakes from Japan. Both of these breakfast treats are served in Hong Kong and Japan, respectively.

Culinary Delights

Saturday Cafe prides itself on delivering exceptional quality through its meticulously crafted menu. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet treat, the cafe offers a diverse range of mouthwatering dishes that cater to all palates.

Start your day with their hearty breakfast options, such as fluffy pancakes and egg waffles in a variety of varieties, including Plain Vanilla (P70), Plain Chocolate (P70), and Premium Waffle (P120). The prices for these egg waffles range accordingly.

Additionally, they also offer six unique types of souffle pancakes, including the traditional (which costs P120), crème Brule (which costs P200), chocolate (which costs P200), tiramisu (which costs P180), and bubble pancake (which costs P185).

Meanwhile, if you wish to eat something heartier, Saturday Coffee provides silog meals that can be ordered à la carte, such as the Tapa Rice with Egg (P90), the Sausage Rice with Egg (P85), and the Tocino Rice with Egg (P85).

The restaurant’s selection of Fruit Ades includes, among other options, Strawberry Ade (P99), Grapefruit Ade (P99), Honey Lemonade Ade (P99), and Rainbow Ade (P105).

Saturday Coffee also offers Fried Chicken in flavors such as Jalapeo, Salted Egg, Garlic Parmesan, Yangneom, and Truffle for P250/6 pieces and P300/dozen pieces; Takoyaki for P65/4 pieces, P120/8 pieces, and P150/12 pieces; Fries for P65 in flavors such as Barbecue and Cheese; Classic Corndog for P80; and Takoyaki Corndog for P99.

From what I can see, the takoyaki are quite large, and in terms of the amount of food that is provided for the price, this lunch is satisfactory.

They offer meals and snacks for prices that are lower than one hundred pesos.

Additionally, the price of their beverages is really reasonable, and they have a pleasant flavor. After placing my order, I was pleased to find that this strawberry milk drink lived up to my expectations. It is made with actual strawberry pieces, which is something that I adored.

New additions to the menu include Croquette Toast (P80), Fried Sandwich (P75), Fruit Sandwich (P110), Big Giant Cone-Oreo (P75), Waffle Ice Cone (P99), Parfait in a Cup (P115), and Special Parfait (P160). There is an overwhelming selection of mouthwatering foods and drinks to choose from!

In addition to that, they provide card games, too. If the customers plan to be around for a while, this is a positive consideration to take into account.
